25,000 lbs of food were collected over String Cheese Incident’s Winter Carnival, making it Conscious Alliances single most successful food drive ever.  The much needed food is on it’s way up to Pine Ridge now…THANK YOU SCI Community for all your participation and generosity…check it out:

August 9, 2010 marks the 15 year anniversary of legendary musician and Grateful Dead co-founder Jerry Garcia’s death. As a way to honor his musical and community legacy, we have contributed a live performance of a Jerry Garcia song to benefit the Rex Foundation.

Available August 10 at http://nugs.net/JerryJams, Jerry Jams for Rex includes our previously unreleased performance of “Eyes of the World” from 08.01.01, along with three other exclusive live Garcia songs from Phish, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers and Keller Williams & The Keels. Other artists featured on the 12-track compilation include The Black Crowes, Yonder Mountain String Band, Railroad Earth and more. All proceeds are a contribution to the Rex Foundation, the Grateful Dead’s charitable arm.
